The Scrunchie Wallet Co. was the start-up my team and I created for our "Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship" (FME) class. FME is the cornerstone of Babson's Entrepreneurial program where all first-year students launch a business in teams. For our business, I was the Chief Marketing Officer and came up with the branding, logo, graphics and product photography.
Behind the Branding
The inspiration for the branding came from three values we established at the beginning we felt represented our brand: femininity, community, and style. I channeled the femininity and community values through our pink and green color scheme as the soft pink feels familiar to products for women and goes well with the Babson green which serves as a subtle allusion to the course, our school's values and the community we are a part of. Finally, style came from the simple yet sophisticated font choice and the creative usage of the color scheme on the Instagram feed.
